INDIAN LAND, S.C. – Movement Mortgage (Movement), the nation's sixth-largest retail mortgage lender, is excited to announce the hiring of Co-Regional Directors Brian Koss and Ryan Hayes to head up the Network Region that is located throughout the East Coast. Movement strengthens East Coast operations with the appointment of Co-Regional Directors Koss and Hayes

With over three decades in the mortgage industry, Koss (NMLS 12489) spent the last sixteen years as an executive vice president at Mortgage Network, based in Danvers, MA. His extensive knowledge of the Northeast market and his history of training and mentoring hundreds of talented loan officers have set him apart from the competition and earned him a reputation as a leader in the industry. Koss began his career as a top-producing loan officer at Boston Five Cents Savings Bank.

Hayes brings over two decades of experience to the Movement team, having spent the last three also at Mortgage Network as senior vice president of residential lending. A member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association (MMBA), Hayes also held leadership roles in residential lending at Salem Five Bank in Salem, MA, and Leader Bank in Arlington, MA. He specializes in leading digital transformation and operations and works closely with sales management in recruiting, retaining, and training loan officers and operational support personnel.

“We are beyond thrilled to bring the best of the Mortgage Network team to Movement,” said Koss. “Ryan and I have built a reputation on loving and valuing our clients and employees, and we're eager to create new and rewarding opportunities up and down the East Coast. It's really wonderful to have found a home in Movement, which shares our passion for these values.”

“My father owned a mortgage company, so the mortgage business is in my blood,” added Hayes. “Growing up, if I wanted to go to the movies, I'd have to earn money by putting together application packages and copying loans to send to investors. We've come a long way since then and to now be able to offer our loan officers and operations staff the national strength of Movement while still retaining the local focus we're known for is amazing. We can't wait to bring that support to our growing team.”

In their new role, Koss and Hayes will report to Chris Shelton, Divisional Leader for Movement's Eastern Sales Division (NMLS #116406). “It's not every day that you have the opportunity to bring on such a close and talented team,” said Shelton. “We are beyond thrilled to have leaders of Brian's and Ryan's caliber join us. We're thrilled that they're here, and it speaks to the strength of our existing team that we can attract talent like this to the Movement community.”

Raised in Washington, DC, Koss is a graduate of Bucknell University, where he met his wife and currently resides with his family in the metro Boston area.

On the other hand, Hayes has always lived in the Boston area. A Villanova alumnus, he and his family have made a home in Marblehead, a North Shore seaside community.
