Movement Mortgage hires industry vet Steve Vargem to help expand South Florida footprint
MIAMI, FLA — Movement Mortgage, the nation's sixth-largest retail mortgage lender, has recruited renowned industry veteran Steve Vargem to lead the team serving homebuyers and real estate agents in Miami and the greater South Florida vicinity. His position will be Market Leader.
Vargem (NMLS #353238) is a financial architect with over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, focusing on residential and commercial capital markets. With a proven success rate in generating record-setting revenues and developing new business opportunities, he has personally closed $300 million in consecutive years as a producing manager.
Vargem's experience in the financial industry includes serving as CFO at Trust One Mortgage for 7 years, where he directed a 140-member wholesale, retail and operations team while increasing profits by $122 million. Additionally, he has served as a board member of the BASF Builders' Association of South Florida, the Florida Homebuilders' Association as District 7 Vice President, and is a member of the National Homebuilders' Association.

The father of two, Vargem lives in Miami Beach with his wife Toni, and Hersey, a Persian cat. In his spare time, he devotes his experience to coaching and mentoring professionals looking to succeed in the financial services sector.
