Movement Mortgage Provides $10,000 Grant to The Avery Foundation

DUBUQUE, IOWA — Movement Mortgage, with support from the Karis Foundation, is excited to announce the Avery Foundation as the recipient of their $10,000 "GraceWorks" grant The Avery Foundation was nominated by Ellen Sinkey in Movement's Dubuque office and selected by employees of Movement Mortgage in the Upper Midwest Region.

"The Avery Foundation is so very grateful to Movement Mortgage, and all our donors. They make it possible to help tri-state cancer patients and their families with the extra expenses they have during travel and treatment," said Sheri Garner, Vice President of the Avery Foundation. According to Ron Avery, Founder and CEO of the Avery Foundation, "We saw our growth this year more than double. We awarded 202 grants during 2021 for over $111,000. This donation comes at a very good time as we can use it to jump-start our 2022 campaign."

The Avery Foundation helps cancer patients and their families pay for the unexpected costs associated with cancer treatment, including travel, meals, and lodging. Their goal is to relieve these undue financial stressors so patients can concentrate on the real battle at hand and keep their health the priority.

Movement Mortgage is a top 10 mortgage lender, with offices in 50 states. The Dubuque office opened in the fall of 2019, and more recently moved to 5900 Saratoga Road in Asbury.  With no Wall Street investors, Movement's profit funds their mission statement: "We exist to love and value people by leading a Movement of Change in our industry, corporate culture, and communities."

Ellen Sinkey (NMLS 963358) is the Branch Leader of the Dubuque office, which serves the Tri-State area.
