INDIAN LAND, SC — Movement Mortgage, a national top 10 retail mortgage lender, is excited to announce the return of Jason Stier to the Movement team as a Branch Leader in Texas. As a VA Home Loan specialist and educator, Stier will continue to focus on what he loves most, building a strong military and veteran lending platform across the region.

Stier (NMLS #218813) has been in the home financing industry for over 20 years, most recently as Director of VA Education and Veteran Mortgage Advisor at Benchmark Mortgage. In 2020, National Mortgage Professional Magazine included Stier in its list of the nation's “Best Military Lenders and Originators.”

“The men and women who protect this country deserve the best possible experience,” says Stier. “Educating them about this hard-earned benefit while honoring my family's service is the greatest honor.”

Stier's connection to the veteran and military community goes back to WWII when both of his grandfathers served in the South Pacific. “My father is a Vietnam War Veteran and my older brother is a Desert Shield/Desert Storm Veteran. Service to this country runs in my family and in my blood,” says Stier. “Once I saw a massive need for education on the VA home loan benefit in our industry, I made it my mission to educate as many real estate agents, loan officers and veterans as I could.”

As one of the largest VA lenders in the country, Movement has always paid close attention to the unique needs of our military customers. In 2020, we launched Movement Military as a mortgage experience built for military families by military families. Movement sees Stier's return as a  perfect opportunity to help the organization assist many more military families.

“We are excited and grateful to have Jason and his team join us,” said Kelly Rogers, Regional Director of Movement's Third Coast region. “Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in educating and serving our veterans and active-duty military and has earned a reputation as one of the top VA lenders in the country and we are honored to partner with him.”

“I think Movement has made a massive impact on how veterans are served in the mortgage industry,” says Stier. “What's exciting is we have just scratched the surface of what we can do with the right team in our corner. The heart to serve the veteran community is there and always has been. Now we get to lead the charge that will truly make us the best VA lender in the country. That is the biggest reason I joined Movement.”

When not helping military families get into their homes, Stier enjoys history, golfing, traveling and supporting Green Beret charity functions. Stier and his family, consisting of wife Kirsten, children Everett and Riley and the family dogs — Mazie and Buddy — live in Argyle, Texas.
