Introducing: Movement Medical

INDIAN LAND, SOUTH CAROLINA Movement Mortgage, a national top 10 retail mortgage lender, is excited to announce its new suite of loan products designed to help medical professionals when buying a home, Movement Medical.

Due to the great expense of medical school in order to get a degree to practice in their field, the finances of medical professionals are different from that of a normal homebuyer, and their student loan debt can make it much more difficult to receive a conventional loan.

Movement Medical addresses those unique challenges medical professionals face in the homebuying process.

DOWN PAYMENT

Because of the significant financial investment in their education, it can be incredibly difficult for medical professionals to have 20% saved for a down payment on their home. Without a 20% down payment saved, the additional expense of Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) would be required of a conventional loan. Movement Medical is different, by requiring no money down (100% loan to value ratio for homes bought at or below market value) as well as no PMI for these loans.

DEBT-TO-INCOME RATIO

Due to the great expense of medical school, the finances of medical professionals are different from that of the average homebuyer. That student loan debt has a significant impact on the buyer's debt-to-income ratio (DTI), which can make it much more difficult to receive a conventional loan. Movement Medical takes student loan debt out of the equation when calculating DTI when the loan is in forbearance or deferment for more than 12 months after closing.

RELOCATION

Medical professionals who need to relocate before starting in a new position find themselves in a loop – they can't start their job without relocating, but most lenders won't let them finance a home before starting the job. Movement Medical eliminates this problem by accepting employment start dates up to 90-days post closing, giving medical professionals the time to find, finance and settle into their new home before diving into their careers.

MORE THAN MDs

Most other lenders' Med programs limit benefit offering to MDs and DMDs excluding many other medical professionals. Movement Medical is open to Medical Residents, Medical Doctors (MD), Doctors of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctors of Ophthalmology (MD), Doctors of Osteopathy (DO), Chiropractors (DC), Medical Fellows, Doctors of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctors of Optometry (OD), Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), Pharmacists (RPH) and Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

Movement Medical allows Movement to provide seamless and stress-free financing to medical professionals and is the company's way of saying "thank you" for the work they do in serving the community.
