Patrick Turner will oversee Tampa; Michael Cochran takes Orlando

Movement Mortgage, a top 10 national retail mortgage lender, is excited to announce that industry veterans Patrick Turner and Michael Cochran will join the company as new market leaders in Florida.

Patrick Turner

Turner, who joins Movement from SunTrust Mortgage, will oversee the company’s growth in Tampa,. He and his team plan to grow their business in Florida’s Nature Coast region, which includes the eight counties along the state’s western coast. Turner will also spearhead expansions in the Tampa and St. Petersburg/Clearwater markets.

“Since I started, we’ve added 13 new teammates,” Turner says. “The plan is to hire 15 new loan officers that fit our culture over the next 12 months. Our goal here in Tampa Bay is to be in the top three in market share by the end of 2019.”

When he’s not building great teams, Turner enjoys football, golf, basketball, boxing and spending time with his family, which includes his wife Laura, 23-year-old daughter Cheyanne and 2-year-old daughter Cecelia, aka “Cece.”

Orlando expansion
Michael Cochran

About 80 miles northeast, Cochran, who has nearly two decades of finance experience, will focus on expanding Movement’s footprint in Orlando. He aims to add more team members, grow Movement’s market share and make a positive impact on the community, he says. When he’s not helping customers through their home financing journey, he enjoys golf, skydiving and volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Orlando.

Both Cochran and Turner chose Movement because its culture and mission align with their values and stoke their passions. For Cochran, it’s about working for a company with integrity, faith and a commitment to follow through on promises. And for Turner, love is the key ingredient.

“I love the mortgage business, I love people and I love to have fun,” Turner says. “After researching and interviewing at many different organizations, I found that Movement loves all those things even more than I do.”
